Ponderosa Pine - NO SHIP -

Ponderosa pine (Pinus ponderosa) is a large evergreen with a straight trunk and broad, open crown. Its long, green needles usually grow in bundles of three, and older bark develops orange-brown plates. Plant in full sun in well-drained soil. Tolerates dry conditions once established; a warm, sheltered position is preferable in prairie gardens. Allow plenty of room. Mature size varies with site and climate, and trees can grow larger in favourable conditions.
