Green spring blooms turn to green-purple berries, then light green with lighter stripes in early summer. Gooseberries ripen to pink in mid-summer. Good for jams and jellies. Self-fertile, near thornless, low, vigorous shrub with lobed red fall foliage. Requires moist, well-drained soil.
