Larger than S. americana. Clusters of cream-white blooms in spring mature to orange-red ornamental berries and persist over winter. Dark green leaflets turn red in fall. Broadly oval to rounded shade tree. Prefers a slightly acidic, moist, but well-drained soil. Intolerant of wet conditions.
