Common Caragana

Hardy, tall shrub tolerates poor and dry soils, salt and wind. Yellow pea-like blooms in early summer, green seed pods, leaflets and glossy stems. Hedge and windbreak plant. Branches freely when pruned heavily after flowering. Does not tolerate wet sites.
